Consumer trends use data analysis to understand consumer behaviour. This includes sales, consumer surveys, benchmarking, consumer engagement and focus group data etc.
Typically consumer trends are generated by analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data over time. These trends can be used to predict future behaviours mainly based on the values of consumers and how those values relate to predictable behaviours.
