How to Use Headings

Last reviewed: 10/05/21

What is a Heading?

Headings are the title/subtitles you use on your blog posts and pages to give structure to your copy.

HTML uses six levels of heading tags <h1> to <h6>; the higher the heading level number, the greater its importance – so <h1> defines the most important heading, whereas the <h6> defines the least important heading in the document. The rest of the body will always be considered a paragraph and it is set this way by default.
